Green tomatoes are subject to strict controls, during all the producing chain, from sowing to harvesting, up to packaging.

Nutritional value of the product

Perfect to healthy diets, these tomatoes are known for their low caloric value. Moreover, they are rich in vitamins and dietary elements, which play an important remineralising and detoxifying role.

Green tomatoes have a fair content of proteins, fibres, which help digestion and give you a sense of satiety, and lutein.

Technical characteristics and cultivation

Sugar content (brix): from 3° to 4° brix. Cultivated varieties: Carmba (De Ruiter), Bubù (Syngenta). Brillante green tomatoes are greenhouse-produced with natural pollination with bumblebees and plant grafting.

Storing, packaging and calibration

Brillante green tomatoes are packaged in a 30x50 plastic case (2 layers), in a 30x40 carton case (2 layers), or in a 40x60 carton case (1 layer). Every fruit has a weight that varies from 80 to 250 grams according to size, and they may be stored up to 10 days after harvesting.

How to taste round green tomatoes

Thanks to their unique flavours and their particular texture, Brillante green tomatoes are tasty if raw, just cooked or roasted. Perfect as appetizer or to season a fresh salad, they are delicious even if used to enrich the taste of a hot bread bruschetta.
