Big berries with typical ribs are the main characteristic of the green tomatoes Cuorbì. Particularly sweet and short in seeds, these tomatoes have few placental juices. So they are not very watery and rich in pulp.

Tasty and genuine, Cuorbì tomatoes may have different colours (green, rose or red) according to the maturation when harvested. Diuretic and antitumor, beefsteak green tomatoes are short in calories and perfect in slimming diets.

Nutritional value of beefsteak green tomatoes

Cuorbì are a precious ally for your health. Rich in vitamin C and carotene, they are short in calories and have diuretic and laxative properties. These tomatoes contain lycopene, which has an antitumor role, and they are endowed with micronutrients: copper, manganese, zinc and potassium, calcium, phosphorus, and ascorbic acid.

How we cultivate tomatoes

Beefsteak green tomatoes are greenhouse-produced with natural pollination with bumblebees and plant grafting.

Storing, packaging and calibration

Green tomatoes are one-layer packaged on 40x60 or 30x50 or 30x50 cases. Every fruit has a weight that varies from 80 to 350 grams – 57/67 – &7-82 – 82/102. Cuorbì may be stored up to 7 days after harvesting.

Delicious if raw, in salads or to season first courses, Cuorbì tomatoes are exquisite if cooked or as a side dish. Their rich pulp make them perfect to prepare many typical recipes of the tasty Mediterranean cuisine. Perfect to prepare in-oil fried green tomatoes.
