With their distinct sweet flavour, thanks to the high sugar content, plum tomatoes Prezioso are a small-size variety characterised by an intense red colour that immediately attracts your look.

Rich in nutritional components, Prezioso tomatoes are beneficial food for your health, as they help to avoid cardiovascular diseases, tumours, osteoporosis, and the correct working of the immune system.

Our plum tomatoes are subject to strict controls, during all the producing chain, from sowing to harvesting, up to packaging.

Nutritional value

Short of calories, plum tomatoes have a high concentration of dietary elements, vitamin A, vitamin E, carotenoids (lycopene and lutein), which are important for your health.

Technical characteristics:

Sugar content (brix): from 8° to 12° brix. Cultivated varieties: Lobello (Esasem) and Cikito (De Ruiter).

Cultivation techniques of tomatoes

Our plum tomatoes are greenhouse-produced with natural pollination with bumblebees.

Storing, packaging and calibration

Plum tomatoes Prezioso are packaged in a 250-gram-or-300-gram close tray, both single fruit and bunch, on a 40x60 case. Or in a 1-kg open tray on a 30x50 case, or 3-kg stretched on a 30x40 case. Every fruit has a weight that varies from 20 to 30 grams and may be stored up to 15 days after harvesting.

How to taste plum tomatoes on tables

In these sweet and delicious tomatoes you may find the typical Mediterranean flavour. Good if tasted raw, in salads or as side dish, plum tomatoes are perfect as cooked, to season first courses, pizzas or bruschetta.
